Our Industrial Valve Solutions:
Standard and Custom

In industrial valves, our clients often come to us with a requirement their usual supplier could not address. Loaded fluids, out-of-catalogue temperatures, uncommon standards — these are the projects we handle best.

Knife Gate Valves

Slurries, cellulose pulps and mineral concentrates quickly clog conventional valves. The knife gate valve eliminates this issue through a full-bore design with no dead cavity. In the closed position, the solid blade provides leak-free sealing on abrasive fluids that other technologies cannot handle.

Exclusive Configurator

Enter your process data — flow rate, differential pressure, fluid, temperature — and the tool calculates the Cv, identifies compatible references and generates a PDF datasheet. Within 24 hours, an engineer reviews the sizing before any submission.

  • Inputs: flow rate, differential pressure, temperature, fluid
  • Output: exact reference + PDF datasheet
  • Compatible with liquids, gases, saturated steam
  • Validated by our engineers within 24 hours

Engineering & After-Sales Support

When the process is complex or deadlines are tight, an engineer takes full ownership of the project: specification review, equipment selection, manufacturer coordination, incoming inspection. Technical documentation ships with the delivery.

  • Technical review of specifications
  • Factory acceptance tests on request (FAT/ITP)
  • Spare parts guaranteed for 10 years

Power Generation & Distribution

Thermal power plants, cogeneration, district heating: temperatures and pressures frequently push the limits of standard product ranges. Every valve is supplied with EN 10204-3.1 documentation to meet PED requirements.

Chemical & Petrochemical

In chemical applications, material selection is not a preference — it is a process constraint. Alloys (316L, duplex, PTFE) are selected based on the exact nature of the fluid, its concentration and its temperature. ATEX zones and API standards handled as standard.

Steel & Metallurgy

Ore slurries and abrasive pulps quickly destroy conventional valves. The gate valves we specify for the steel industry are built to resist abrasion — reinforced seals, seat hardness up to 400 HV.

Water Treatment & Distribution

Drinking water networks, pumping stations, wastewater treatment plants: sanitary requirements demand certified linings and ACS traceability. Our ductile iron range covers standard large diameters for water distribution, in compliance with EN 1171 and EN 1074.

Pulp & Paper

Black liquors and fibrous pulps clog valve bodies within weeks if the equipment is not designed for that service. Our pulp & paper gate valves feature a specific anti-deposit construction with EPDM seals adapted to concentrated bases.

Cement & Minerals

Clinker and cement dust are among the most abrasive media. Butterfly valves for cement plants feature stellite-coated discs and reinforced seals. Pneumatic actuation simplifies maintenance on sites where access is often difficult.

Your Questions About Industrial Valves

The same questions come up from one project to the next. Here are the answers.

What is industrial valve technology?

Industrial valves cover all equipment that controls fluids in an installation: valves, check valves, filters, regulators. The difference from plumbing is not a matter of category — it is a question of service conditions. Far higher pressures, extreme temperatures, fluids that attack materials or carry abrasive particles.

In energy, chemical or steel applications, a failed valve does not simply cause a leak. It can trigger a production shutdown, an overpressure event, or a safety incident. Correct sizing is not optional.

Three functions cover the vast majority of needs:

  • Isolation: isolating a section of the circuit (gate, butterfly, ball valves)
  • Regulation: modulating flow rate or pressure (control valves, regulators)
  • Protection: preventing overpressure or backflow (check valves, relief valves)

An industrial valve is a mechanical device installed in a pipeline to shut off, divert or modulate a flow. It has three components: the body that contains the fluid, the closure element that controls the passage, and the actuator (manual, pneumatic or electric) that drives the closure element.

The right selection relies on four parameters that every process must define:

  • Nominal diameter (DN): connection size in mm, from DN 50 to DN 3000
  • Nominal pressure (PN or ANSI class): maximum allowable pressure at reference temperature
  • Fluid type: water, steam, acid, gas, particle-laden fluid
  • Service temperature: from −60 °C in cryogenic applications to +600 °C under superheated steam

A poorly selected valve leaks, wears quickly, or fails under conditions it was never designed to handle. Our configurator uses your process data to identify compatible references; engineers validate before any shipment. That is the foundation of a well-executed industrial valve project.

There is no single industrial valve solution — there are around ten families, each with its own conditions of use. The right choice depends on the function, the fluid and the pressures involved.

  • Butterfly valve: 90° rotating disc. A good option for large diameters in water, air and gas, with a smaller footprint than a gate valve. Triple offset for high pressures and temperatures.
  • Knife gate valve: solid sliding blade, full bore. No dead cavity, no clogging — that is why it is the standard choice for loaded fluids.
  • Ball valve: drilled sphere at 90°, quick opening, good sealing. Widely used in gas, oil and low-pressure steam.
  • Gate valve: wedge or parallel closure element. Low pressure drop when fully open. Isolation under high pressures.
  • Globe valve: linear closure element. Good flow regulation. Steam and hot water networks.
  • Check valve: prevents reverse flow. Protects pumps and compressors.
  • Control valve: continuous modulation of flow or pressure via a controlled actuator.

The valve family (butterfly, gate, ball) is the first filter. In practice, our engineers refine the selection on three additional criteria.

By actuation:

  • Manual: handwheel, lever or gearbox. Human operation on site.
  • Pneumatic: compressed-air actuator. Fast, well-suited to ATEX zones.
  • Electric: motorised gearbox with PLC integration (4-20 mA, HART, Profibus).
  • Hydraulic: high torque for large sizes (DN 600 and above).

By body material:

  • Grey iron GG25 / ductile iron GS400: water, utilities, low corrosivity
  • Carbon steel WCB: steam, hydrocarbons, moderate temperatures
  • Stainless steel 316: chemical, food & beverage, corrosive media
  • Duplex / super-duplex: offshore, chloride environments, very high corrosivity
  • Refractory stainless steels AISI 321 / 253MA / AISI 310
  • Hastelloy C22, C276 / Inconel

By applicable standard:

  • EN 593, EN 1984, EN 12266: European market
  • API 6D, API 609: oil and gas, petrochemical
  • PED: pressure equipment, EU market
  • ATEX: explosive zones (directive 2014/34/EU)

These three filters apply to any industrial valve project, regardless of the sector.
